**Full-time and Part-time positions available** Provide nutritional services such as developing care plans and diet counseling to hospital and clinic patients, nursing home residents, and medical staff. Evaluate nutritional status and develop care plan for residents. Provide educational information and conduct classes for patients in the outpatient clinic concerning specific diets such as diabetic and hypertensive adrenal failure diets. Calculate therapeutic and combination diets and tube feeding, and review medical orders for required modified diets. Teach in-service education classes to hospital or county home personnel, conducts classes for groups of patients, works with other therapeutic staff members, and develops andor evaluates material for use in patient teaching.

Pursuant to Act No. 2007-503, the Board of Managers administers the Supplemental Pension System. This Board is comprised of four members. Member No. 1 is an appointee of the Personnel Board of Jefferson County and serves a four year term.  Members meet on a monthly basis and are not paid for their service. Responsibilities to include administration, management, control acquisition, and disbursement of the fund.   

Create computer programs for special projects: write programs for specific applications and to enhance functionality of existing software/programs. Update, maintain, and troubleshoot existing programs to suit user needs and maintain compatibility. Create training documents and instruction manuals for computer programs.

Ensures alignment of information security strategy with organizational business goals, objectives and current and potential legal and regulatory requirements. Oversees and ensures adherence to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of information security services by performing risk assessment, gap analysis and business impact analyses activities to help organization reach an acceptable level of risk.  Develops, implements, and establishes Information Security policies and standards including network protection, database protection and software and supporting the terms of the network security strategy. Develops and maintains the capability to manage incidents within the organization so that exposure can be contained and recovery can be attained within a specific time objective.

Prepare and review various reports (e.g., finance, budget, audit) for Jefferson County. Supervise departments and employees in the every day work within the Jefferson County Finance Department. Research, implement and operate computers and computer software for daily operations in the Finance Department. Communicate with various groups and individuals in order to help manage Jefferson County's financial operations and programs. Manage various programs and projects through meetings and by staying abreast of current laws and trends in finance, budget and auditing.

Perform highly technical laboratory work in serology, bacteriology, hematology and biochemical analyses. Test various samples of blood , other body fluids, and specimens in a hospital or clinical setting. Perform prescribed procedures.

Directs and supervises the work activities of RNs, LPNs, and other staff assigned to the unit. Develops and/or oversees staff education and education programs such as classroom training sessions and preceptorship as needed to ensure the competency of staff, efficiency in operation, and teamwork. Requests equipment, supplies, and staff needed to run the unit and monitors expenditures to ensure the unit is operating within the budget.  

Implement patient/client care by developing Nutrition Care Plan, counseling patients and coordinating internal and external referrals. Assess health/nutritional status of patients and/or general public based on anthropometric (height and weight) and/or laboratory data. Operate WIC Clinic activities according to county, state and federal guidelines. Possess, maintain, and update an advanced level of knowledge of nutritional practices and trends.
