The Reclassify PDQ is used to determine if the position still fits within the current classification. If the position does not fit within the current classification, then various classifications are reviewed to determine if there is a classification that has similar duties and responsibilities.

The New Position/Classification PDQ is used to request an existing classification or submit a request to establish a new classification. If there is not a current classification equivalent to the position being analyzed, consideration will be given to updating a current class specification or creating a new classification.
